If you are thinking about rescuing a
boston, please fill out the adoption
application.
When we receive your application, you'll be placed on our
waiting
list. Often times, we will first look at our waiting list
before
posting on the web. So you may not see anything listed on our
website, but it doesn't mean we don't have any rescued bostons.
Our vets do a comprehensive wellness examination
including heart worm testing to assure that they are healthy before
being listed. All animals are spayed/neutered, and up to date on shots
before leaving BTCMD Rescue.
Adoption
fee is $275.

Looking
for a puppy?
|
|
Although Boston Terrier Club of Maryland
Rescue Committee accepts all ages of boston terriers, we rarely
receive puppies as a surrender.
Everyone knows puppies are cute and
cuddly. Do you know what it takes to get the puppy
housetrained? Are you willing to wake up at 3am to let your
puppy out? Do you have a favorite pair of shoes?
You better hide them because the puppy may be teething! Have
you done your research?
Why not adopt a younger or middle
aged boston terriers instead? Majority of our
rescues will already be housetrained and crate
trained.
If you are still interested in a
puppy, Boston Terrier Club of America has a breeder referral
program. You can go to their Referral
page and start your search there. Good
luck!

Applicant must be resident of
VA/DC/MD. We do not "ship" our rescued dogs.

Annie **Adopted**
Annie is a 2 'ish year old sweetie. At first look
she's
black and white, but when you look closer you can see some beautiful
dark brindle to her coat. Annie needs to put on a couple
pounds,
but she's a good eater and is already on her way to filling
out.
Our little Annie's nose is a bit longer than is "correct" for a BT.
This is actually better for her and, while she does do the BT snort,
she's not a snorer so that's a plus as well!
Annie's last home was evidently not a kind one. She is hand
shy
and always worried that she's in trouble. For this reason a
home
without children would be best. Loud voices/noises send her
scurrying to her crate, although she comes right back to you when she
realizes everything is OK. Even a short time in foster care
has
shown improvement in this area, Annie is very willing to trust again,
she just needs someone to help her along. She would benefit
greatly from an obedience class to help build her confidence.
She
loves to play with other dogs, but is the typcial female BT in that
she's the queen so any dog buddy must be prepared to accept
that.
She's shown quite a bit of interest in the cat, so a cat-free home is a
must.
Annie is active, but not hyper, and would love to have a fenced-in
yard. She's a young dog but with daily exercise she settles
well
in the house and loves to cuddle in your lap. She's
crate-trained, 95% house-trained and very
obedient. She's a typical,
comical Boston
Terrier who keeps me laughing with her antics. Annie is
looking
for a very special home with folks who will continue to teach her that
life is good and help her feel safe and loved forever.
DC/VA/MD residents only.
If you're interested in Annie, please fill out the adoption application
and make sure to note Annie in the comment section.
